Practise Aims.
Our aim is, to wherever possible, eradicate risk at the servicing stage and to reduce and manage the residual risks to an acceptable safe standard. In order to achieve this we recognise that it is essential that all members of the company recognise their duties as ‘Operators’ and be proactive throughout the service process in identifying and responding to potential risk hazards. We also aim to utilise ‘feedback’ gained from completed projects to generate an evolving cleaning, maintenance and services resource database as a reference point for future ‘best practise’ service protocols.
In order to ensure that the policy is implemented the following cleaning, maintenance and services practise procedures have been set up.
-
All existing staff and new staff will receive an induction briefing from our cleaning, maintenance and services Manager. This will cover our basic implementation requirements such as awareness of operating equipment and services duties under the regulations, availability and location of cleaning, maintenance and services, Health and Safety reference material, hazard identification recording and feedback procedures, basic awareness of common risks, and continuing staff training.
-
The Company will carry out internal audits and site/location visits to ensure that cleaning, maintenance and services policy and procedures are actively implemented.
-
Our Company will actively encourage all employees to advance their knowledge and awareness of cleaning, maintenance and services and Health and Safety issues through continuing professional development. The company training record will be kept up to date, recording all training as planned in our current year of operations/service.
-
The Pre -Tender Health and Safety Plan of all cleaning, maintenance and services applicable projects, as is our current practice, shall be developed into the projects Health and Safety Plan and once it has been approved by the client’s cleaning, maintenance and services coordinator, it will be included with the location safety documentation. During the induction process, all employees and those entering the location perimeters, will receive a site/location specific safety briefing based on the information stored in the Health and Safety File. (A copy of this document will be kept in the office/site and reviewed monthly or sooner if necessary, for reference and briefing purposes).
-
After practical completion of the project (or service) a final contract review will be carried out. The aim of this process will be to identify any areas of useful feedback that can be relayed to all employees and used to set up best practices service delivery and implementation protocols. Conclusions will be circulated to all ‘operator’ staff and filed in the cleaning, maintenance and services manager’s office.
